I've almost finished working on this garment now for my exhibition in 4 and a half weeks. It's knitted in moss stitch from the fleeces of the Hebriddean sheep which live up at Breamfield overlooking Wirksworth. It's a sleeveless shawl collared waistcoat, the buttons will be made from the horns from the same sheep. I'm really excited about this particular garment as you can see the sheep from the middle of Wirksworth, so it feels extra local and especially authentic.

My exhibition 'Crafting Landscape: An Exploration into Site-Specific Making' is to open as part of the Wirksworth Festival. This wil be the culmination of practical work created as part of my Masters by Research project. The exhibition will contain the knitted garments, artefacts used to create them, a short film, as well as artist books and photographs. More details will follow.

I've taken on learning a new skill recently, drop spinning! Here is my first attempt, a little wonky but I'm pleased nonetheless.
